Now What?
Sometimes things don’t go exactly as we would like. Sometimes people we count on – shouldn’t have been counted on. Situations and circumstances change – flexibility brings fear and uncertainty. We want to avoid changes that mean we have to change our thinking and even, at times, our way of life. It happens that when we most want to win, we lose. Dreams become nightmares, and nightmares keep us up wondering what will happen next.
Now what? Three things (out of some almost infinite number):
God is still in charge of Heaven and Earth and lloves no one more than me (the me is you too, or course)!
God is never taken by surprise, confused, or disturbed by any action anywhere, anytime!
His promises remain true no matter how much or how many there are who think, say, and act as if, they aren’t!
Now, get on with the day! It is the one He has made, and we can enthusiastically rejoice in it!!

Concerning those decision makers, they seemingly never get it right…slavery was ok, we should not follow God’s word, should not pray to the Living God, slaughtering babies is ok….a pattern seems to be present…and is 5 to 4 a decision?
So as you infer, there is “nothing new under the sun,” so go about the Lord’s business.
