The Slippery Slope Grows Steeper

I arrived home on Sunday evening just about the time the Super Bowl half-time festivities were starting (by the time the Preacher let us go) and I was looking forward to some supper. One of my sons, and his sons (16 year old twin boys) were watching the game in the living room.

They wanted me to come see the activity on the “big screen” (any TV I watch at my house is mostly on a 19″ in the kitchen) and I wandered into the area to satisfy their desire for me to see a “real” TV, while the chips and dip were being prepared by my lovely bride.

I watched (with embarrassment) for approximately three or four minutes and I could think only two words – vulgar peepshow. And then we have the audacity to wonder why there are so many sexual crimes in our society.

Add that over the weekend “President Obama said Sunday that gays should be allowed in the Boy Scouts and women should be allowed in military combat roles.” (ABC News)

We heard North Korea’s statements : “We are not disguising the fact that the various satellites and long-range rockets that we will fire and the high-level nuclear test we will carry out are targeted at the United States.” (IBID.)

Our World is on a downward trajectory – Hell is coming, the Enemy presses forward, and the Church slumbers in apathetic resistance to the Truth of God’s Word which proves offensive to the slip-sliding World.

‘Heaven help us’ in the days to come.
