Thought For The Day

Immigration

I believe the language is correct. Words mean things and we are seeing that what is being said is the reality of what is being done.

Immigration – a noun:  the action of coming to live permanently in a foreign country.

What we are seeing is an influx of immigrants coming to the United States from all over the World. There was a time when there was some order to that – some checks and balances – some requirements, and yes, some deportments. All of that seems to be changing. Those coming across America’s borders now are “processed” and sent to cities all over the United States where they are supposed to appear in Court for “hearings” and such, but less than 20% show up.

Do I think it would be better for most of the “third World’s kids” to live in America with its vast richness and resources available to them? Sure! I wish everyone could have the advantages you and I have had (at least most of you). Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way. There is a point at which America becomes something other than what we we have known. It becomes a entity that cannot sustain and support the influx. We are nearing or already past that point.

So then, what do we do?  I don’t know! I wish I did. We could stop it. We probably won’t. We could embrace it. We probably will. When we do, life will change, quickly, unfavorably, dangerously, forever.
