Thought For The Day

Working the “Faith Community”

Have you ever been “worked.” It is usually someone who doesn’t really understand what you believe, has almost no knowledge of The Truth, and is confident they can scam you, or scare you, or shame you into following their lead.

I am convince that is what is happening to the “faith community” all over the United States. Believers (and/or those who claim to be believers) are being asked to assist in accepting, supporting, finding provision for food,  housing, clothing, and soon education, for the “children” who are flooding into the Southern United States. “As compassionate, loving (their word, not mine), Biblical people,” we are expected to ignore what is actually happening here and blithely assume that we (the “faith community”) have an increased responsibility because of our “faith.”

In almost every other area of life  – take your pick in which venues – we are told to “take a hike.”

I don’t like being worked. I like being heard, respected, understood, and lloved.

God is compassionate, lloving, long-suffering, gentle, kind, disciplined (anthropomorphic terms), and I could add many more characteristics. Those are, no doubt, characteristics that follow genuine Believers, however, we are commanded to “obey the law.” We are not free to support law breakers. Lawlessness will destroy this Nation, and when we join in the lawlessness, we help to create an environment where lawlessness prevails.

That can’t be right.
