Thought For The Day

No Chance

Reading about the people in this World who are willing to do everything and anything to promote their particular brand of politics or religion can give one a fright. Fortunately we here in America don’t often think about these things. Most people alive in the United States today cannot even remember Pearl Harbor (December 7, 1941), and we are quickly forgetting the trauma of September 11, 2001.  With the advent of TSA and Homeland Security, quite obviously we have nothing to be concerned about.

There are always a few diehards, however:

“Without offering specifics on any threats or suggestions on how to confront them, the leaders of the Senate and House intelligence committees on Sunday prodded the White House to work to prevent the Islamic State extremists from launching attacks on U.S. soil.” (Associated Press)

We have absolute confidence in our National leaders, right? We have a plan — a strategy, right? Our borders are secure. Our military is growing stronger and more prepared each day, right? Washington, D. C. is focused on protecting the United States above all else, right?

Alfred E. Newman would say: “What, me worry?”

Here is the Truth. There is only ONE thing for which there is NO CHANCE. That is, if you are a Believer, that God will ever leave you or forsake you.
